Description

Exercise physiology courses integrate basic concepts and relevant scientific information for understanding nutrition, energy transfer, and exercise training over two semesters. Classes cover exercise physiology, uniting the topics of physical conditioning, sports nutrition, body composition, weight control, and more. This first class in a series of two includes: nutrition as the base for human performance, energy for physical activity, and systems of energy delivery and utilization. This course can be taken for 2 or 3 credits. Prerequisite: BIO 212 or equivalent; DTS 250 or equivalent.
