Description
Deeper dive into community nutrition assessment, program planning, implementation and evaluation from an epidemiologic approach. Impact of policy, legislation, and advocacy on availability of programs, services and resources addressing food security, disease prevention, health promotion, and nutritional status. Application of skills in relating to diverse populations through nutrition education presentations and other activities in the community. This class contains 15 hours of supervised experiential learning. Prerequisites: Coursework required to enter the program as described in bulletin.
