EARLY CHILDHOOD: Principles and Practices in Waldorf Early Childhood Programs:
This course offers an in-depth study of the developmental needs of children ages 3–7 within Waldorf early childhood education. Emphasis is placed on applying developmental theory through classroom design as curriculum. Topics include curriculum planning tools, the pedagogical role of the teacher, and the intentional integration of singing, music, play, work, artistic activity, and movement, while exploring daily and weekly rhythms, seasonal festivals and celebrations, and the meaningful integration of practical activities that support healthy development in early childhood settings.
