Description
This course will serve as an overview of the scientific principles of nursing that promote and create a culture of safety and caring. Foundational concepts to the professional nursing role will be introduced to include the history of nursing, ethics and legalities, health policy and law, evidence-based practice, the health care system, professional communication, diversity, equity, inclusion, and an overview of the nursing process. APA writing style used in healthcare will be introduced. Prerequisites: Course Pre-requisites: B/C or higher in Bio 211 & 212, Course Pre OR Co-requisite: BIO325, PSY 214, NUR 202.
