Description
This course is a continuation of CHE 333 that introduces the chemistry of biomolecules, including carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids. The chemistry of aromatic, mono- and poly- functional compounds, bonding, stereochemistry, mechanisms, synthesis, applied spectroscopy, and natural products are included. The laboratory includes synthesis, instrumental application and organic qualitative analysis. Prerequisite: CHE 333. Approximate fee: $30.00.
