Description

Refinement of skills and demonstration of self-directed independence while assuming the role of a dietetic professional in community/consumer nutrition areas. Supervised experiential learning or supervised practice sites may include: schools, clinics, food pantries, and a wide variety of community organizations and alternative opportunities for dietitians. 240 hours of supervised experiential learning is included. Approximately 5-6 weeks is required throughout the semester. Additional costs may be incurred for transportation, parking and housing. Prerequisites: DTS 566, DTS 505, DTS 577, DTS 520, DTS 574, DTS 576, DTS 570, and DTS 605.
