Description
Course designed to focus on basic writing skills, including paragraph structure and development, the five- paragraph
essay format, narration, and impromptu writing. Grammar and punctuation rules introduced, practiced, reviewed, and
assessed. Journal writing emphasized to increase fluency. Reading skills strengthened through reading and analyzing a
chosen work of fiction. Credits count as electives. Formerly SYM 090.
