Description
Investigates the question of how writers take calculated risks while investigating and writing a story. Students will analyze and review many standard issues of tra?ditional journalism, such as objectivity, balance, bias, first-person vs. third-person accounts, source reliability, clarity and accuracy, and the writer?s decision-making process. Students will apply theory to their writing from the perspective of the challenges contemporary writers face. Prerequisite: graduate standing.
