Description

Selected public health issues are considered. Course involves detection, identification, and quantification of pathogenic
microorganisms, including food-borne pathogens and microorganisms affecting water quality. Emphasizes student
centered active learning with laboratory work and a student research project. Prerequisites: BIO 100, 325, CHE 114.
