Description

In this course students trace the impact of political, economic, religious, and racial forces on women throughout US history. They will examine how the Native American, Hispanic-American, African American, Asian-American, and EuroAmerican shared problems, faced barriers, and ultimately found solutions that advanced their role and well-being in society. Students will explore the ways women have shaped their personal lives, that of the family and of their community, and how this influenced the development of the United States. The course may be offered in a variety of formats.
