Description

Wisconsin and its people have always followed their own path. Intensive consideration of Wisconsin begins with the
pre-history and settlement of the area by Native Americans and how the different Europeans either worked with the tribes
or sought to remove them. As the course proceeds chronologically, the students see the emergence of the political,
economic, and social culture of Wisconsin. These continue to evolve as new people, technology, and mindsets reshape
Wisconsin and its role in the life of the United States and world. Offered in online format with a mandatory
orientation.
