Description

In this practicum course, students build upon knowledge acquired in
previous courses and continue to develop the role of the professional
nurse begun in NUR 331 (Novice Nurse Apprentice in Practice).
Simulated and actual patient care experiences provide opportunities
for students to demonstrate intermediate competency in nursing
process, clinical reasoning, communication, and technical skills.
Emphasis is placed on safe, compassionate, evidence-based patient centered
care. Prerequisites: junior standing. NUR 311, NUR 320, NUR 321,
NUR 322, NUR 331, NUR 335 Prerequisite or concurrent enrollment: NUR 350,
NUR 354.
