Description

In this discussion course, the registered nurse continues to engage
in the process of refining the conceptualization of the breadth and
scope of professional nursing. Learning experiences include an
analysis of the nurse?s role in providing safe, quality, patientcentered
care that is socially just, ethical, and reflects the nurse?s
ecocompetence. Additional focus is placed on further development
of the student?s self-care and professional identity as a therapeutic
agent. Students are challenged to reflect on the continuum of
change in personal and professional growth and to evaluate self as
an altruistic, caring, and humanistic person. Prerequisites: Admission
to the BSN Completion Major, NUR 322, NUR 336, NUR 357. Prerequisite or
concurrent enrollment: NUR 450, NUR 451, NUR 453.
