Description

In this practicum course, the student will focus on the synthesis and
application of public health and community health theory and
evidence-based nursing care to promote and maintain the health of
individuals, families, communities, and populations. Students will
use critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to apply the
principles of social justice, ethics, and ecocompetence in the delivery
of safe, competent, and accessible care to multicultural communities.
Prerequisites: NUR 311, NUR 320, NUR 321, NUR 322, NUR 331, NUR 335,
NUR 350, NUR 351, NUR 352, NUR 353, NUR 354, NUR 355, NUR 357, NUR
430, NUR 431, NUR 433, NUR 434, NUR 435. Prerequisite or concurrent
enrollment: NUR 451. (First offered Spring 2011).
