Description
Examination of current theory and practice of occupational therapy in general medicine. Explores the pathophysiology of the major body systems. Evaluation and intervention skills studied for various general medicine-related diagnoses, including: burns, cardiac-related events, cancer, pulmonary disorders, and HIV. Universal precautions and blood-borne pathogens training fulfills clinic requirements. Application of theory reinforced through clinical lectures. Prerequisites: OCT 532, 534, 536. Course fee: $45.00.
