Description

Introduction to the basic terminology and concepts of linguistics and phonology, with more detailed study of the sound
system of the Spanish language and a comparison of Spanish and English phonetic structures. Includes study at an
introductory level of applied linguistics and second language acquisition. Prerequisite: SPA 222 and 223; open only to
students with previous college-level Spanish.
